Chief Executive Officer

As a life-long Noodler, Dave has spent most of his career growing Noodles & Company into one of the largest fast-casual restaurant companies in the industry. Dave came to Noodles in 2004 as senior financial analyst, and has since moved on to serve as vice president of finance, executive vice president of finance and chief financial officer before being appointed chief executive officer in June 2017. Through his vision to nourish and inspire every team member, guest and community the company serves, Dave is committed to making Noodles the best place in the industry to work for those who love life.

Prior to coming to Noodles, Dave began his career with May Department Stores. He received his degree in finance and marketing from Truman State University and holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Dave also serves on the national advisory board for No Kid Hungry.

Dave resides in Boulder, Colorado, where he can be found enjoying all that Colorado has to offer with his wife Susan and sons Evan and Andy.

Ken Kuick

Chief Financial Officer

Ken Kuick has served as our Chief Financial Officer since November 2018. Mr. Kuick most recently served as Chief Accounting Officer for VICI Properties, a real estate investment trust that was spun out of Caesars Entertainment Corporation. Mr. Kuick also served as Chief Accounting Officer for Caesars Entertainment from 2014 to 2017, playing a key leadership role in the Company’s emergence from bankruptcy, and as Vice-President, Assistant Controller beginning in 2011. Prior to that, he served a dual role as Chief Financial Officer for Transamerica Investment Management and Controller for Aegon USA Investment Management under Aegon N.V. He has also held leadership roles at Calamos Asset Management and Alberto-Culver Company. Mr. Kuick began his career at Arthur Andersen. He holds a Bachelor of Science, Accounting and Business Systems from Taylor University in Upland, Indiana and is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Kuick brings over 25 years of finance and accounting leadership to Noodles & Company.

Chas Hermann

Chief Brand Officer

Chas is a passionate brand marketing leader with 25 years of experience working with story-telling brands in the retail, entertainment and financial services industries.  Chas loves helping brands tell their story in a way that emotionally connects team members, guests, and partners to the brand.

Chas joined the Noodles team in March 2018 as Chief Brand Officer. He has long admired the brand’s culture and passion to serve all team members, guests and communities with great guest experiences in a fun and exciting atmosphere.  Prior to joining Noodles Chas was the principal at Chas Hermann Consulting partnering with executives and leadership teams on key business strategies that position products, services, and operations to build a memorable brand experience.

Chas graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Florida starting his career as a CPA at Seidman & Seidman before finding his passion in marketing and brand strategy. He has worked at Paramount Pictures, The Walt Disney Company, Universal Studios, Starbucks, Commerce Bank and The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.  Chas and his wife will be new to Denver and look forward to discovering all the area has to offer.

Melissa M. Heidman

Executive Vice-President, General Counsel

Melissa M. Heidman has served as our Associate General Counsel since August of 2011, as Vice President since September of 2015 and was most recently appointed as Acting General Counsel and Secretary in December of 2017. Prior to joining our company, Ms. Heidman was Special Counsel in the law firm of Berg Hill Greenleaf & Ruscitti. She began her career serving as a Law Clerk for the District Court of Iowa, the Iowa Supreme Court and, later, as Law Clerk and Staff Attorney for the Superior Court of Guam. Ms. Heidman received a BA in Political Science from the University of Iowa and received a J.D. from Drake University Law School.

Brad West

Executive Vice-President, Operations

Brad West has served as our Executive Vice President, Operations since September 2017. Mr. West has over 40 years of operations experience in the restaurant industry, most recently serving as Vice President, Operations of Smoothie King Franchisees, Inc.  Previously, he was Chief Operating Officer of ACG Pizza Partners LLC.  Prior to ACG Pizza Partners LLC, he spent 16 years at Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, Inc., most recently as Senior Vice President, Non-Traditional Business where he was responsible for the operations, development and growth of over 250 Einstein Bros. Bagels license locations.  Mr. West has also held key operational roles at CEC Entertainment, Inc., Applebee’s International Franchisees, and S&A Restaurant Corporation.
